Description

Automatic machine for the application of polyethylene protective film over the surface of the slab. The film can be non-adhesive polyethylene or adhesive polyethylene. The polyethylene film dispenser is equipped with an incoming slab reading system with precision photocells and PLC-controlled start of the drafting process.

Two pressure rollers ensure proper laying of the polyethylene film and in the case of non-adhesive material an electrostatic charge is generated to ensure its adhesion to the slab. At the end of the application the film is cut by moving a hot wire.

From the material infeed side there is an access that allows the operator to position the film correctly through a roller system. From the material outlet side there is a walkway complete with a ladder that allows the operator easy access to the top of the machine where there are supports to house two polyethylene coils.
