Among Pedrini’s granite cutting technologies is the Multiwire Jupiter GS240, a multiwire machine available with 4.3 mm diamond wire. The reduced wire diameter enables more efficient processing, even on materials with areas of varying hardness that can cause wire deviation. At the same time, it helps minimize material waste and lower energy consumption. The machine is available in different configurations, with varying numbers of wires to meet specific production capacity requirements.

Resin treatment: V-Wave at the heart of the process

The curing process—the chemical reaction that hardens the resin—has traditionally been one of the slowest steps in the production cycle. Reducing curing times without compromising quality remains one of the key technological challenges in the stone processing industry.

 

 

 

On this front, Pedrini offers V-Wave, the microwave oven combined with a Vacuum system developed by the company for high-performance resin treatment lines. Microwave technology activates the resin in depth within just a few minutes, ensuring homogeneous activation and deep penetration of the product, reducing curing times compared to traditional systems.

 

The result is a faster and more uniform process that simplifies the retouching phase, improves the polishing result, and enables more efficient use of energy with reduced consumption. V-Wave operates behind closed doors, ensuring complete safety for the operator, and is compatible with any type of epoxy resin and with all types of marble, granite, and quartzite.

Polishing is another stage where production flexibility has a significant impact on downtime and batch changeovers. When processing slabs of different widths, single-beam polishing machines often require the machine to be completely emptied before production can resume. This constraint can result in downtime that is not always easy to recover.

 

On this front, Pedrini offers the Galaxy B220GX-T3, a polishing machine equipped with three movable beams that can operate synchronously or independently. This configuration makes it possible to process slabs of different widths simultaneously without completely emptying the machine at every batch change, while also optimizing tool utilization across the three processing stages (honing, pre-polishing and polishing) by assigning different speeds to each beam.

 

At the heart of the machine is Rotor, the patented spindle featuring electronically controlled positioning by transonar and a pneumatic counterpressure system. It is paired with the Antishock Head with 7 oscillating abrasive-holder levers, another exclusive Pedrini patent, which ensures linear contact between the abrasives and the material.

 

Production management is handled by QuickEase, the software with an intuitive interface developed to simplify operators’ daily tasks and streamline machine operation.

 

The machine is available in two configurations, B220GX-18-T3 (18 polishing heads) and B220GX-21-T3 (21 polishing heads), and is designed to process slabs up to 2,200 mm in width and 100 mm in thickness.
